MY LOVE

And even if I should not love you yet,
Look at my eyes,
Written inside them,
Is that it’s not a short-lived craze.

And even if you should not believe me yet,
That I began to love you,
So look at my lips – –;
They will rob you of many a kiss.

And even if you won’t have them,
Stolen they would not be;
Only lovers who are fond of each other,
Kiss each other all alone.

And if I cannot have you yet
I send you countless heartfelt greetings;
And also send to you, on lips and cheeks,
Many a thousand sugar-sweet kisses.

Once this writing, in red ink
Has reached you on this day,
Remember that there are only two,
To whom I once gave something written.

S. Egon.

Dearest Miss!
I would be very pleased, if you could write something back [and]
send it through you dear brother.
With a hearty kiss
